ROUTINE ANIMAL CARE
During our initial complimentary meeting we will decide together how many visits will be needed and what duties shall be required for the proper care of your animals. Each situation is unique and our services are customizable to your needs and will be quoted prior to service. Most routine pet and small farm care requires two visits per day lasting about 30 minutes each, during which fresh food and water are provided. Stall, yard, pasture/paddock, cage and litter box are cleaned as needed. Application of fly spray and fly masks, blanket changes, turning in and out are all normally included in the daily visits. Equine Sitters believes socialization and play for some species are an integral part of maintaining healthy and happy pets and we will provide time for such activities daily. We encourage our clients to add extra exercise time to the routine animal care plan for the health of their pets. A daily log will be kept, detailing all activities performed. Biosecurity measures are used, when applicable (i.e., for all Alpaca farms), which consists of dedicated clothing and boots, disinfection of boots before arrival to your farm and upon leaving and the use of gloves or hand sanitizers.

  ADDITIONAL CARE SERVICES

VET/FARRIER HOLDING
Meet your Vet or Farrier and hold your horse or livestock for services.

MEDICATIONS AND WOUND CARE
Administer topical, oral or injectable medications or supplements and perform wound cleaning and/or dressing changes.

EXERCISE
Provide lunging or hand walking of your horses to help maintain condition.

 

Take your dog on a regularly scheduled midday walk while you're at work!

 

Extended dog walks and/or extra play time for some dogs are a recommended addition to routine animal care plans.

BASIC GROOMING
Brushing and bathing horses and dogs, picking horse hooves and trimming alpaca and dog toenails.

BOARDING
Short or long term boarding is available for alpacas, see our alpaca website Services page for more info.

 

Overnight stays are available for single dogs in our family home. We can accommodate two "same family" dogs.
 
We can also stay overnight in your home if you prefer.
 
TRANSPORTATION
Local moving of large animals.
 
 
 
  OTHER HOME SERVICES
HOME SECURITY
Newspaper and mail collection, alternating lighting and adjusting curtains are complimentary with an animal care plan.

PLANT CARE
Watering houseplants is typically a free service unless there is a large amount of plants to be cared for, a nominal fee will be discussed.

BASIC LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE
For those extended trips we can perform plant and lawn watering, mowing, weeding and minor pruning.
